EDITORIAL STANDARDS

Correct the claim, keep the context

A useful correction identifies an exact claim and the evidence that changes it.

Include these details

  • The page URL and the sentence, table row or tool behavior involved.
  • A concise description of the issue.
  • A primary source, or fictional input and steps that reproduce a technical problem.
  • The change you believe the evidence supports.

Do not send photographs of personal identity documents, complete MRZs or customer records. Replace sensitive values with fictional examples that preserve the issue.

How a correction is handled

We assess the evidence against the current page or tool behavior. A supported correction updates the affected content. Material changes should include a dated note explaining what changed. We do not promise a response time or publish a correction before confirming the issue.
